WEEKLY SPOTLIGHT ON EMERGING ARTISTS: THE MEANTIME
The Meantime are a high energy power trio from the Central Coast, NSW. Their unique yet classic Hard Rock driven sound is a twist on their influences from Rock, Punk, Indie and Grunge. The latest single from the band is 'Telepathetic' released on July 2 2021 is their first release since Average At Best was released in December 2019. The band also released a six track E.P. titled 'Illusions' in August 2017.
Telepathetic is a song with incredible guitar riffs and effortless drum progressions paired with classic rock vocals. The song has an insane energy that would be amazing to see translated into a live performance when the band is able to perform it at a gig hopefully in the future. The musicality of the band is one that showcases the years of hard work and talent that the band put into each release and this experience really shines through in the structure of the song and lyrical composition. The instrumental sections have intricate layers of guitar and drums that create a vibe akin to famous hard rock bands where it will make you want to start headbanging and let the music take over your body.
The band has the potential to make their mark on the Central Coast area of NSW as an emerging trio that has the power to showcase the genres of their influence with a twist by creating incredible music in the future. Their fans should be really proud of the music they have released so far and I am sure more music in the works.
